1. What Chymotrypsin injection 5000IU is and what it is used for

ACTIONS:

Chymotrypsin has the proteolytic activity of trypsin, it has no clotting action in blood either in vitro or in vivo.

Chymotrypsin in therapeutically used to reduce soft tissue inflammation, edema, and haematoma resulting from serious accidental trauma or surgical trauma.

Chymotrypsin promotes liquefaction of secretion of the upper respiratory tract in  patient with asthma, bronchitis, lung diseases and sinusitis

 INDICATION:

Inflamation, edema, and haematoma resulting from serious accidental trauma or surgical trauma, arthritis, acute or chronic bronchitis, disorder of tracheal sputum, areolitis, orchitis, rhinnitis

2. Before you use Chymotrypsin injection 5000IU

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:

- Do not give intravenously.

- Chymotrypsin injection should be used with cautions in combination with drugs decreasing prothrombin values

such as anticoagulant.

CONTRAINDICATION:

Chymotripsin injection should be not given to patients with abnormality of the blood clotting mechanism such as henophilia or with severe hepatic disease.

INTERACTIONS:

Due to the fragility of the enzyme, do not combine Chymotrypsin injection with another drug in the syrine for injection. Concomitant administration of Chymotripsin and anticoagulants may enhance the efficacy of anticogualants.

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

The safety of using this drug during pregnancy and l65actation has not been established. Therefore, this drug should be used during pregnancy and lactation when the expected benefits is higher the possible risks

3. How to use Chymotrypsin injection 5000IU

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:

The recommended intramuscular dosage is 1 vial once daily.

4. Possible side effects

- Local signs and symptoms (a high temperature, pain redness), general signs and symptoms (fever, headache, nausea, vomitting, rash), and reduction of acidity of the gastric juice.

- Anaphylaxis, pain at the site of injection.
